Course information

Use PLT’s outdoor, hands-on activities to teach adults and youth HOW to think, not WHAT to think about sustainable forestry, natural resources management, and the environment. This self-paced online course, curated by PLT, consists of 7 coursels plus online access to PLT’s Environmental Education Activity Guide complete with 96 activities, and three bonus activities. Use PLT’s popular activities, such as Every Tree for itself, How Big is Your Tree, and BONUS Activities, including Forest to Faucet, 100 Acre Wood, and Global Invaders, to engage your audience in learning about trees and forests, forest product certification, tree lifecycles, benefits of renewable resources, invasive species, and more. As part of the online short course, interactive learning experiences demonstrate select PLT activities with simulations and video. Lesson planning exercises help you plan how to facilitate activities with youth and adult audiences in your own setting.
