Webinar information
Urban wood products are unique and every piece is different. Customers are impressed by the various features that give a slab or piece of lumber a one-of-a-kind, outstanding appearance. From a sales perspective, there is an opportunity to introduce potential customers to the features of the product. This component of the "sales pitch" makes urban wood products distinct from other wood products. This webinar helps us to pause and understand what the buyer sees and how we can better convey what we see and understand about wood anatomy to inform the sales and marketing strategy while elevating awareness of the value, significance, and opportunity for urban wood utilization.
Speakers
John Mahoney, Street Tree Revival Program Manager - West Coasts Arborists (CA)
Dr. Alex C. Wiedenhoeft, Research Botanist and Team Leader - Forest Products Laboratory, Madison, WI
