Webinar information
Trees have always told a story, from the forests that sustain our communities to the wood products that shape our homes, workplaces, and everyday lives. Today, AI is creating new ways to tell that story, helping forestry and forest products professionals better understand markets, connect with customers, and make data-driven decisions. In this webinar, Dr. Pipiet Larasatie of Virginia Tech will explore practical applications of AI in forest products business. Drawing on research, Extension experiences, and a recently funded USDA-supported Extension Foundation initiative focused on AI workforce development, she will share real-world examples, opportunities, and considerations for AI adoption in the forest sector.
Whether you work in forestry, wood products manufacturing, consulting, Extension, or natural resource management, this session will help you better understand how AI can support your organization while keeping people, forests, and sustainable wood products at the center of the conversation.
