Using the Science of Diversity and Inclusion to Support Women in Natural Resource Fields
Women remain underrepresented in natural resources. As a consequence, cultural phenomena such as chilly climate, unconscious bias, and ambivalent sexism negatively influence their experiences and are barriers to inclusion. We present a model for learning communities to increase awareness and discussion of these phenomena, benefitting both individuals and institutions.
