What is the Forest Service?
The USDA Forest Service is a federal land management agency that cares for more than 193 million acres of the nation’s forests and grasslands.

- Forester: From planting seedlings to inspecting a contractor’s work, foresters provide the technical and professional expertise to evaluate the health of our forests.
- Forestry Technician: Forestry technicians perform a variety of tasks like data collection, inventory, inspections, planting, pruning, thinning, and cutting.
- Timber Sale Administrator: Timber sale administrators formulate and execute plans for the development and management of the timber resources on a Forest Service unit.
