Since 1946, the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture (ATCOFA) at Stephen F. Austin State University has worked to produce society-ready professionals equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for the ever-evolving realm of forestry and natural resource management.

Located in the piney woods of East Texas, ATCOFA comprises one of the South’s largest forestry schools, as well as a nationally ranked Division of Environmental Science. The college’s agriculture and geospatial science programs are also on the cutting edge of research and use of technology in their respective fields.

With four majors and over ten areas of emphasis, the college offers intensive, applied course work and research opportunities for its students.

ATCOFA also offers master’s degrees in agriculture, environmental science, forestry, resource communications and geospatial science, in addition to offering Texas’ only doctoral program in forestry.
